Yesterday, Drudge Report had a pic of scabby faced good ol boy GW… yet now i’m looking at the pictures of last night’s speech and he’s looking fairly healed? They slap some putty on his mug or does the government have a TOP SECRET way to heal the president… ---

The bruised image of Bush is actually a stock image taken from the “pretzel scare” incident: [http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/1758848.stm](http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/1758848.stm) I believe he had no obvious head injuries from falling off his bicycle. I have noticed that he is talking very slowly and saying extremely stupid things, but I’m pretty sure it is unrelated to the accident. ---

The Secret Service agents just opened fire until it was scrap. As for Junior, the “wounds” on his face don’t look that bad. It looks more sore than cut or scraped. A bit of makeup would hide that easily. ---

Looking at the pic from Drudge, it looks like his chin could be covered easily enough, while the roughest damage to his face, it is uniform and would probably be easy to cover. The cut on his nose is barely a scratch also would be easy to cover. I’m looking at that little nick on his lip. How’d they cover that? Too close to his mouth for makeup, (though I might be wrong, I know little to nothing about cosmetics) but he looks just fine in the later photo. What would they use to cover something like that up? ---

I think the picture’s a fake. Was W riding his bike in a suit? Why would he let a picture be taken of him looking like that? (BTW, I am not, by any stretch of the imagination, a Bush fan.) ---

Just a spill from an off-road bike should not have been embarrassing. Hey, stuff happens. However, his press people instinctively went into protective mode. They declared that recent heavy rains had made the dirt unstable. Actually, the previous week had no rain at all in Crawford, Texas. What can you say about somebody who lies when it’s not necessary, just out of habit? ---

There was already a pit thread on the rain/no rain question. The short of it: there was some precipitation the week before where he was riding.
