Sigs that make no sense to anyone other than the sig-owner and the quoted poster are good, too. Robin ---

…and most of us with really long sigs have long since stopped using them for every post, in order to ease the load on the server, as requested by the Administration way back when. ---

As for the OP, yes, I can kind of agree. I’ve seen a few epic sigs, so I know what you’re talking about. But as has been pointed out, the mods and admins, some time ago put a limit to sig size and sig usage to save beating up the server with it. If a mod or admin deems the sig too long, the person will be requested to change it. Also, if the sig is enormous, just don’t read it. BTW, on my screen this sig is 4 lines long: ---

Oh, good gravy, **Phlip**. . . you’re upset by a sig longer than four lines? There was a doper had a farm and Bingo was his . . . oh wait. ::shuffles through notecards:: There once was a doper from Nantucket who said—wrong again, sorry. ::shuffles through again:: There was this doper who had a story as his sig line. I believe, but am not certain (can’t do a search on the person’s SN), that it was **Mu Mu**. He was eventually convinced A) not to use it every singly time and B) to change it to something that was smaller than the entire collection of \*\*handy[/s]'s posts. ---

I use my sig randomly, but I just want to show it off here, because it’s relatively new. (The beauty part is that, a year from now, some newbie is gonna be reading this post, and my sig will be different, and they’ll think my sig is a year old). ---

The best example of warlording I’ve seen was in response to someone who asked a one line question, followed by a 25 line .sig with an ASCII graphic of Boba Fett. The graphic has been removed, but the exchange is quoted [here](http://users.aber.ac.uk/auj/hotchpotch/99.html). It’s one of the three funniest things I’ve ever read on the web. ---
