No it didn’t. It was exactly the same thing Morgenstern did. It was exactly the same thing Morgenstern did that Ed allowed and the mods concurred was allowable.
The difference is Shodan is disliked and is a snark target and Morgenstern isn’t.
The difference is Shodan initially did NOT receive a warning but after a ‘reinforcements’ arrived and started to howl he did get a warning.
There is no layers. It is not deep. It is clear. Using personal information is an allowable dick move. If we gave that text to 100 people who weren’t affiliated with this board to parse at least 99% of them would agree with my reading. That’s a higher percentage than those who believe the earth is round.
Since this thread has devolved into octopus quoting the same thing over and over again, this thread has obviously outlived its usefulness.
octopus, I would strongly advice you to pay attention to the people who are actually moderating this board instead of relying on an old quote from an admin who is no longer here, especially when it concerns matters that could potentially result in a loss of your posting privileges.
