What's wrong with my eye?

Did you call for the appointment, or did your GP’s office call? I’ve found that my GP’s office can make appointments that I can’t. They get a little more respect when they call a referral in.

Good luck.

I’ve always had the impression that BC/BS is one of the better companies. At least here in PA people are happy when their employer provides BC/BS. Maybe it’s different where you live, but as kenobi 65 said, it’s worth a try.

Doc’s office called while I was there. Not sure if the houseplant who made the call conveyed any urgency, but she did read the doctor’s notes. I left a message to follow up with him to ask if he meant for this to take 2 weeks - it sounded to me like he thought it was more urgent but I could be wrong. I’ll keep following up with them , and with BC/BS if I cannot get through. Inconvenient timing on the insurance switch, but then the timing on this whole thing could only have been worse if it had happened when my husband was going through his surgery and recovery a couple months ago.

doesnt seem like there is anytng else here that can be offered, sounds like you just need to get in with the specialist, …good luck with it and hope your eye turns out ok
