# What's wrong with my Internet Explorer?

I can no longer have two IE windows open at the same time. When I try to open up a new window, the first window automatically closes. Please help.🙂

Are you using Windows XP? It allows grouping of windows of the same program on its taskbar, so that multiple windows of Internet Explorer or anything else appear as a single button. This can be turned off by
1. Right clicking an empty space on the taskbar at the bottom,
2. Selecting “Properties,” and
3. Unchecking the “Group similar taskbar buttons” option.
This might seem very obvious, but IE really is the only program I can think of using where I might want multiple windows.

That’s definitely not the case, but appreciate the help. I’ll try to re-install and see what happens.
