The faucet in my shower is the kind that you pull towards yourself about 3/4" to start the water flow… I have no problem turning the water on, but turning it off is another matter. Many times, I have to put the entire force of my body behind just pushing it back in.

The strange thing is, it doesn’t happen all the time. There are weeks at a time during which the faucet operates normally, and then all of a sudden it’ll be “stuck” again. I tried taking the faucet off but I just don’t see any obvious obstruction… any ideas?
