Oooooh nelly. I guess in my liberal-Christian worldview, I lump hentai in the same group as all pornography. It divorces sexuality from the individual, even if the individual is animated. Even if nobody is physically damaged or lessened, I think that reliance on a imaginary animated figure for sexual satisfaction is a perversion of healthy, human sexual practice. With that said, I won’t deny that tentacle hentai has some attractive elements. The girls are young, submissive, and beautiful. The dicks are young, large, throbbing, and ready to fuck fuck fuck! I think it’s possible even for young men to gain from sexual learning at puberty. I just don’t think that either a strict Christian interpretation or an anything-goes viewing of La Blue Girl is the best way to go about it. ---

If all tentacle sex had the artistic values and power of Hokusai’s “Dream…” there would be nothing wrong with it. All the stuff I’ve seen (all stills, admittedly) had no aesthetic appeal, which is all I demand from my erotica. The only redeeming value of tentacle hentai is that it inspired a great (now sadly defunct) [webcomic](http://www.ghastlycomic.com/d/20010510.html). Beyond that, I could do without it. ---

I, too, am repelled by the 'rape" aspect, but not by the tentacle aspect. It seems to me that one reason for the _existence_ of such visual porn is simply so that you can see what’s going on. With normal sex, the guy’s body gets in the way of your view of the woman. If the penis is essentially on a long extension, you can see both the penetration AND the unobstructed body of the woman. By the way, there’s plenty of non\_Japanese erotic art out there on the internet showing sex with tentacles.
