Cecil mentions this in the link above, but I would think that lung cancer would be as great a risk for long-term marijuana users as it would be for long-term tobacco smokers. I mean, either way, you’re breathing in lots of smoke from bits of burning vegitable matter. Burroughs book is more of a 1984 kind of story. I think I read somewhere though that the “Blade Runner” name came from the Burroughs book. ---

Actually, Alan E. Nourse wrote the original book in 1974. I’m assuming Burroughs wrote a screen adaptation.
