Roses. Particularly the vintage variety where the smell hasn’t been bread out of them. And the long stem scam is bullshit. Nothing better than a big two dozen (plus) flower cluster in a short wide mouthed vase all bunched and big as a dinner plate across. ---

I know I’m probably the Lone Ranger here, but the smell of roses is almost nauseating to me. I like looking at them, but I prefer that they be un-smelly. I also like the Gerber daisy. But I think my all-time favorite is the tulip. They’re simple and elegant. Sucks that they don’t last long, but hey…they’re still lovely. ---

I am incapable of naming just one variety, so quickly, off the top of my head, lilacs, lily-of-the-valley, and any variety of jonquil/daffodil/narcissus. ---

Lilacs, daisys, zinnias, moss rose, (otherwise known as portulaca, hope I spelled that right) [bachelor buttons](http://www.gardenguides.com/flowers/annuals/bachelor.htm), and white tea roses are favorites of mine. ---
