If you published a book, what name would you have your masterpiece published under? I’ve always thought that when I am published, to pick a name that would put my book near a very popular writer, say Stephen King, if I wrote horror. Great idea! I’ve been working on a pseudo-history book with all kinds of rules on how people should live their lives. ## I think I’ll call it The Bibble, by Gob. Livin’ on Tums, vitamin E and Rogaine ---

Haven’t decided on a first name, but I think my last name would be Collinsworth. Vaguely upper-crust sounding, yet _Dark Shadows_-y. Maybe I’ll use my real first name, which is Laura. I would publish it under my current name, then I would change my last name so you couldn’t look me up in the phone book. Or elsewhere. Maybe I’d switch to my middle name. But I wouldn’t write any fiction, I’ve given up after an attempt 18 years ago. ---

My best friend and I used Roger Billings and George Brooks (interchangeably) as aliases when we were teenagers. We always knew who was who before heading out for the night (I was usually Roger). So that solves the late '60’s Houston teen crime wave. ---

The best names have a long first name, and a short last name, so that when it’s on the cover the surname is extra large.
