What’s a drip dish?
A set of dinnerware for $1.00 that I auctioned off on eBay for $194.00.
Drip is the pattern of the piece of dinnerware. It looks like the glaze was “dripped” around the edge of the piece. I’m envious of that $3.00 box of McCoy. Great find.
Ah. I’ve seen those.
Gee, my best find is pale in comparison.
I don’t go to yard sales much, but I did get a Sega Genesis system with four controllers, about ten games, all the cables, and a cool case to put it all in for $10.00. (this was about two years ago.)
I get some fun out of it, but still pale in comparison.
I bought an old painting, and I took the back off of it and found an original copy of the declaration of independence.
[sub]or maybe I read that somewhere. I get confused. Anyway, I gotta go to more of these yard sales with stories like these.[/sub]
I have to admit, I love yard sales, but rarely go. Why? Because I feel guilty about pawing through the stuff and not buying anything. Like I’m rejecting the seller along with their junk. I need to get over that, it seems.
I just sold dishes for my mother that she bought at a sale for $95. It was a set of over 100 Eva Zeisal dishes that I sold for $1200. THat was after Mother got four years of use out of them.
