The Ujest’s are in the beginning of what promises to be an epic quest for a new/used car. More than likely it will be a Focus 4 door sedan. But naturally, we all have that dream vehicle that we’d like to purchase when we win the lottery. Mine: Ford 250 crew cab diesel pick up truck and BMW mini. Mr. Ujest: Yukon and a Suburban. and an Audi A4 ---

I wish I could have a black Corvette. I’ve wanted one since I was 12. I either want a '68 or '69 or a new one. I also want a new Ford Police Interceptor (basically just a crown vic w/ lightbar, ram bumpers, sirens, etc). Why would I want a cop car? uh…I have my reasons… But right now I’m stuck with a '94 geo tracker, which isn’t even mine. ---

A great way to celebrate my 200th post. A Bug. Yup, that’s right, a Bug. And not one of these newfangled Bugs, nosirreeBob! An old one. Classic. No heater, 2x60AC, trunk in the front, putt-putt motor in the back. Built the way God himself intended them to be built. Custom paint job. See, the main part will be black (like a frying pan), and there will be two big yellow spots, one on the front and one on the back (yolks), surrounded by white, with a strip of black separating the two eggs. I call it my Yolkswagon. The custom plate will read, “NO YOLK.” No, seriously. 😃 ---

Very good call Juliana. You must be my kind of woman. Might have to get you to throw some suggestions my way if I buy this 54 Nash Metropolitan I am looking at. Dream car 1954 Buick Skylark convertable. Red and white with white interior and top. DroooooL. Maybe a nice classic Dussie… of course a day to day driving car I would HAVE to get a Honda Insight to damn cool looking and 60+ miles to gallon!! Osip ---

I would also like an amphicar. The one that can be driven into water and then used as a boat. They made them in the 60’s but then production was stopped. A different company manufactures amphibous cars today,but thet aren’t cheap. ---

It’s a real bummer my first two dream cars aren’t in production anymore, so I’ll have to settle for the used-car market. - '91 Nissan 300ZX - absolutely beautiful curves, - 90-something Lexus SC400 - what a dreamy body. It’s a crying shame they replaced it with the stubby 430 series. For a short while in 1999, seriously considering buying one of my other dream cars, but it didn’t happen. (long story for another time) - BMW m5 - an extraordinary vehicle in such an ordinary looking package. For practicality, this was the real winner. 4 doors, full size back seat, gobs of power, and so much more. - Acura NSX - completely impractical. No room for the kids or the skis or much of anything really. And with body panels made of honeycomb carbon fiber, one minor ding in the door from a runaway shopping cart would cost some serious bucks to fix.
