What's Your Favorite Animation Short?

I can’t give you just one. But this is a unique film that I find mesmerizing. And it’s done entirely with a pinscreen. Mindscape http://www.nfb.ca/film/Mindscape/

Walt Disney’s Modern Inventions, A Donald Duck Cartoon, 1937. The first DDC to really establish Donald’s character and his place and purpose in the Disneyverse.

I’m gonna guess that there’s a few people who have never seen Ryan Larkin’s Walking.

Well, of the Pixar shorts: Knick Knack is a favorite of mine (the original, not the later, altered one) 'Tho I could watch Jack-Jack Attack on a loop, as well, so much is happening, yet it all fits together. I also like having around Skywhales from 1983. You can find that on YouTube sometimes, it’s voiced by Robert Llewellyn, who plays Kryten on Red Dwarf. Always fun is The Cat Came Back by Cordell Barker from 1988. Kinda old school in it’s slapstick. Also try to find *Katedra *(Cathedral) by Tomek Baginski. That, like Skywhales is a real stony one that stays with you. And you can’t go without: http://users.wolfcrews.com/toys/vikings/

Mine’s probably The Cat Came Back too. Is it really as new as 1988, though? I could swear I was younger then 11 the first time I saw it.

Here it is.

I remember when they used to show that and other animated bumpers during breaks on MTV.

Hello? Hello? Is this thing on? I swear they can hear me out there.

Rejected is still my favorite Hertzfeldt movie (NSFW - bleeding anus!)

I forgot one, posssibly one of the most awesome youtube clips ever:

Best video game FMV ever:
Lunar Silver Star Story:

Oh, absolutely. Wallace & Gromit’s The Wrong Trousers and A Close Shave are also world-class.
