Inspired by [the Coke Zero thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=334813)… I’ve been trying all different kinds of diet soda since I went on South Beach in December. My favs (no order of preference): - Fresca - Diet Cherry Coke - Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper (can we possibly cram any more flavors in there?) - Diet Dr. Brown’s Cream Soda - Coke Zero What are your favorites? ---

- Diet Vanilla Pepsi - Diet Cherry Coke - Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper - Diet Vanilla Coke - Fresca - Diet Pepsi Sorry, but Coke Zero tastes worse than regular Diet Coke to me and regular Diet Coke gives me indigestion. ---

Diet Coke will always be king among sodas or indeed, all caffinated beverages, for me. I like Fresca every once in a while, and Diet Sprite has it’s place. I drink Diet Pepsi when it’s on sale and I run out of diet coke, but only then. Coke Zero is just strange. ---

Fresca Diet Vernor’s Diet Rite Cola (not because it tastes better, but because it doesn’t give me caffeine or aspartame headaches) Diet Coke ---

I’m usually a big Diet Pepsi drinker, but lately I’ve been trying Cherry Diet Coke and liking it. I’m also fond of Diet Mountain Dew Code Red, but that’s a bear and a half to find. ---

Hmmm, I was just gonna post the first sentance but then I realized I’ve agreed with everything you’ve typed. Diet Coke is definitely the best and theone I’m most used to (I’m been drinking it since it was first introduced. Wow, that’s a long time. :eek: ) I’m actually kinda irritated when I wanna go grab a Diet Coke and there’s a gazillion weird varieties I have to make sure not to accidently grab. Another good non-caffeinated diet drink is Diet Cranberry Ginger-Ale. ---

Drinking some Diet Pepsi right now, but this Cherry Diet Coke sounds great. I haven’t seen it in stores though, anyone know if it’s carried in Ontario (and by who)? ---

I can’t believe nobody said Diet Coke with Splenda! My Fav. Close second is DC with Lime. ---

Diet Pepsi Diet Wild Cherry Pepsi Diet Vernors Diet Faygo Grape Diet Rite Key Lime although not carbonated, I would add Diet Tropicana Lemonade ---

Diet Coke. Also, Diet Cherry Coke and Diet Coke with Lemon. I tried Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper, and it was just swill. Pond scum in a bottle. Although I love Diet Dr Pepper. ---

I mostly get the store brand (schnucks), but I like Coke Zero. Also, [Fitz’ Root Beer](http://www.fitzsbottlingco.com/index.html) makes a diet version that is amazing. ---

Depends on what I’m craving at the moment. Diet Coke with Splenda: smooth and sweet. Coke Zero: less sweet and more crisp. Limey-limey cokey-cokey cokey-cokey lime–er, I mean, Diet Coke / Diet Pepsi with Lime: Lime. 'Nuff said. I can’t say as I prefer one over the other. Diet Cherry Pepsi or Diet Dr Pepper when I want something different. ---

My very favorite is Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper, which my fiance refers to as “that thing that you like with all the names”. Fitz’s, a rootbeer brewery/restaurant 'round St. Louis, makes a diet root beer that’s fantastic, it doesn’t taste diet-y at all. You can buy it in grocery stores around here, but I don’t know how much the export to other parts of the country. Their diet cream soda ain’t half bad, either.
