Another memorable Kung-Fu scene:

The final battle in Tai Chi Master. The best part is Jet Li answering his stunned nemesis asking “what fighting style is _that_?”

“Tai chi.”

After having seen that scene, I’ve been careful not to piss off those old people moving slowly in parks at dawn.

Which bounty hunter was played by the aforementioned Randall “Tex” Cobb.

Sorry, I just had to throw that in.

I actually logged in to write “Sonny on Carlo” in THE GODFATHER, but since that’s the first one I’ll go with Uma “The Bride” Thurman and Vivica “Vernita” Fox in KILL BILL volume 1 (or Uma v. the Japanese mafia in the same movie).

How about Harvey Kietel in City of industry. When he finally finds the guy who double-crossed him and killed his brother he beats the piss out of him with a pistol. When he get’s him down to the ground he sits on top of him, takes a deep breath, casually puts his loaded gun away, and than proceeds to repeatedly bash the guys head against the pavement. He beats the hell out of him, and then savors the kill, opting to use his bare hands as a cathartic tool. One of the most intense vengance kills ever captured on film.

Another good one is in Die Hard. The blonde long haired guy (Hans?) that he ends up stringing up pretty good (but who comes back to be shot later). Man, they beat the living hell out of each other. That movie was the first time I had seen a flick where they let the good guy get the hell beat out of him and actually look beat up afterwards. No quick bouncing back for John McClaine. That whole movie is basically him taking serious beatings. One of the best films ever made.

One that sticks in my memory is the scene in \*\* the bodyguard\*\* where kevin costner’s character kicks the other bodyguard’s ass after they leave the club.

-problem is, it was a crappy movie.

also, in \*\* gangs of new york\*\* when (cringe) leo dicapprio beats up that henchman of the main boss guy. Maybe it was the use of “the fishook” as a finishing move.

How about Big Chris in “Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels”? At the end when he crashes his car while Dog has a knife to his son’s throat. Then he jumps out and slams the mans head between a car door like 50 times. Hard to watch, but understandable. You don’t mess with someone’s children. . .

On Xena, in an episode entitled “Forgiven” she tries to mentor a “bad girl” named Tara back on the righteous path. Tara keeps on provoking Gabrielle, insulting her, hitting her, challenging her until Gabrielle finally takes her staff and beats the shit out of her. A very satisfying whooping.

When the Fieldings find out that Jackie’s boyfriend has been physically abusive, Dan simply stands up, puts on his coat and steps out the door. He walks back in sometime later cradling his hand and asks for a bowl of ice.

One of the only episodes I really liked, and quote often-
Dan comes home, Rosanne sees his knuckles are covered in blood.
Rosanne: I thought you said you were gonna talk to him!
Dan: I _did_ talk to him!
Rosanne: What did he say?
Dan: I dunno, something about ‘Ow ow my face my face!’

King Arthur vs. The Black Knight in _Monty Python and the Holy Grail_. Can’t believe we’ve made it this far without mention that one.

The one punch kill from Bruce Willis in _The Last Boy Scout_.

And from my post in the other thread (favorite battle scenes): Arnie vs. Pussy Face in _Predator_.
