That’s why I like “I’m Fat”: I’m fat, I’m fat, \<really really fat\> in those high voices.
This isn’t comical as much as whimsical, but \*\*NaCl \*\*by the Kate and Anna McGarrigle is fun.

Flanders and Swann have quite a few good ones. My favorite at the moment is a faux-Edwardian ballad:

[(Have Some) Madeira, M’dear](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OW_zi8n4HDQ)

(recorded after they had been doing it for several years, so he rushes it a bit, in my estimation.)

Because my exposure to pop music is limited, my favorite Weird Al songs are:

[Fat](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2mU6USTBRE) (with commercial)
[Eat It](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZcJjMnHoIBI)

(I detect a trend here, and yes, I do have food issues.)

My favorite Allan Sherman song is probably not remembered my most folks:

[One Hippopotami](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umlBrQoG6xk)

Finally, you can’t beat Tom Lehrer’s Vatican Rag for sheer inventive exuberance.

I give you [Bill Bailey’s love balled](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1LdjVtHqNxs) in the Scott Walker / Slayer tradition, encompassing all aspects of love; betrayal, hatred and depression:

My question stands, what musician wrote the song, or sang in the style Al sang that song, that he is parodying?

Sure its childish, but [Big Balls by AC/DC](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_W-fIn2QZgg) always makes me smile.

Gotta add my vote for Weird Al’s “One More Minute.” Beautiful.

I also like Alan Sherman’s [“French Revolution”](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lvl4EggoOOA) song.

Also, “I Can Change” from the South Park movie.

[Weird Al “It’s All About the Pentiums”](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpMvS1Q1sos)

The most recent comic singer I’ve discovered is Bo Burnham.

[Song from the Perspective of God](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zxc20saM8DA)

[Repeat Stuff](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QCVGpvzcHko)

Not funny, but pretty cool - [Art is Dead](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eo9pU1q8sy8).

How about this classic from Styx that was a #1 request on “Dr. Demento” for many years? It truly must be heard to be believed.

I was posting from my phone earlier and have given it a little more thought now. I can’t really say I have a favorite but here’s a few that haven’t been mentioned…

First, here’s a link to the Reggie Watts song I mentioned earlier, [Christmas Is For Fucking](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jWYinap7_E).

Joe Dolce’s classic [Shaddap You Face](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sFacWGBJ_cs) which topped the charts in several countries and for thirty years has been the most successful Australian single ever. It’s just so… I dunno, silly.

The Whitest Kids U’ Know sketch show had three that I like: [Dinosaur Rap](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1SKf9YU4QQ), [Old Folks Home](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJnZtcY5-Mk) and [We Gon’ Make Love](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJnZtcY5-Mk).

Some L.A. UCB guys have some funny songs:

Jerry Minor’s [Autotune Song](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7B5ZYyVezQM) which is a parody of the state of modern music from the Comedy Death Ray Podcast.

[Howard Kremer](http://www.youtube.com/user/dragonboysuede/videos) (Dragonboy Suede) has several of his best songs on his youtube channel

Mike O’Connell has some good ones, my favorite is [What’s It Gonna Be?](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQXDtPswocs)

As for Tom Lehrer, I’m partial to Smut and Lobachevsky - which is a song about plagiarism more or less stolen from Danny Kaye.

It’s a tossup between “I am a Rich Tycoon” and Dandelion’s confession.
