Oh, and can’t forget…anything from Schlotzky’s. (I swear, I don’t know why there aren’t as many Schlotzky’s as there are Starbucks. An excellent product, and I’ve never been in a down-at-the heels store, like you find at so many chains.) ---

My experiences with Schlotzky’s have been, shall I say, less than what I expected. Give me a Subway sammich any day. Particularly extra turkey on Monterey Cheddar bread with just a little bit of lettuce, american cheese, and mayo. Yum! ---

(I know this is going to be unpopular, but since you asked) Liverwurst, sliced thick, on very fresh whole wheat bread, with a slight amount of yellow or brown mustard. I used to prefer very fresh white bread, but since I’ve given up white flour, I’ve found that using whole wheat gets very good results. I think I’ll go have lunch. . . ---

Genuine Philly cheesesteak, onions, Whiz (or provolone if the shop doesn’t have Cheez Whiz, but I ask you, what kind of Philly cheesesteak shop doesn’t? :eek: ). A close second favorite is a ham and turkey breast sub. Depends on how much I want to clog my arteries today, I guess. ---

Arby’s roast beef and cheddar with sauce, pickle, and onion. Also like Steak n Shakes cheeseburger with mustard, pickle, and onion. Then, of course, there’s good ole peanut butter and jellly. ---

A corned beef on rye from The Carnegie Deli. At 2 in the A.M., I might just settle for a fried-egg and tomato sandwich from some cheezy diner in the South, as long as the waitress snaps her gum while taking our order. ---
