Lightly toasted rye bread with caraway seeds. Allow to cool off before making sammich. Mayo. 3 slices of bologna. Two or three very thick slices of succulently vine-ripened tomato. Uh nummy !! What’s yours? ---

A few times this spring/summer we’ve made shrimp po’boys. Sprinkle shrimp in loads of creole spice (google for a recipe), grill (preferably with some smoke), put on toasted bread with lots of remoulade + spinach and sliced tomato. Yum. ---

Has to be a BLT, with a nice fresh picked tomato from the garden. Cucumber sandwiches are a close second. More refreshing, but garden cukes don’t have the same punch as garden tomatoes. ---

Leftover steak tips from the grill, chopped into small pieces and mixed with chopped tomato and miracle whip, in a piece of pita. I hardly ever eat this because we NEVER have miracle whip in the house. ---
