Collusion. Just sounds pretty. Also, opulence and lucidity. I like the ‘oo’ sound a lot. My all-time favorite, though, is flibbertigibbet, which I first heard in ‘Joe vs the Volcano’. It’s a real word, though, and really not that hard to work into conversations. I have found that it’s very easy for people who don’t know the word to figure it out from the context. ---

I thought of the word “insouciance” for some reason today, which prompted me to look up this old thread. I realize that in my dark humor, I didn’t post my favorite word that actually fits the spirit of the thread: “palimpsest”. I learned it, along with the wonderful word “numinous”, in Carl Sagan’s novel _Contact_.
