Well, I’ve always been partial to a B-53 (a layered shot):

Kahlua, Baileys, and Frangelico (just a little bit on top)

A vast improvement over the Grand Marnier-topped B-52 if you ask me.

In my mongo-shot-consuming days (7-8 years ago), I also liked the M&M, also known as the Alien Secretion (1/2 Midori, 1/2 Malibu coconut rum). Mmmmmmmmm…
Of course, if we’re talking about straight alcohol, we’ve gotta be talking bourbon, as far as I’m concerned. Booker’s is really good, but for serious bourbon-y goodness, try Blantons’ Single Barrel. Not enough o’s in smoooooooth to describe it…

Flaming Dr. Pepper

In a double sized shot glass:
2 parts Dr. Pepper
2 parts Amoretto
1 part Everclear

Light it on fire and drop it into a large mug of beer. When it starts bubbling, chug it.

Tastes pretty good, and one is enough to knock me on my butt every time.

Jarbaby:

You are supposed to wipe your lips before the barman lights the sambuca up, otherwise they will buuurn… Unfortunately the person that I saw have one didn’t wipe their lips beforehand…

Frock75:

I work in a bar in Melbourne, and we got Maker’s Mark at least a year ago. They must have done well in the past few years to get it this far. It’s good stuff by the way people.

If you spent time in Japan you’d like sake, I spent months drinking nothing else. It’s an acquired taste. But Shochu is not sake. This shochu drink that laid me low is highly distilled sake plus a pickled plum and would be better described as paint remover. I’ll tell you the same thing I told my friend: no, you won’t like it.

I’ll try to remember everything I wanted to say.

**occ** _I_ like sake. A lot. I’m definitely self-conscious, but certainly not a ‘hipster.’ Don’t drink it cold though, why would you do that? Blecch.

Maker’s Mark is excellent. And I’m definitely not a bourbon person, but I like it.

Jagermeister is grrrrrreat.

**Crispy** , that _Flaming Dr. Pepper_ sounds absolutely wonderful. Gotta try that.
My contribution is a variation on the _Boilermaker_. It goes a little like this:
The _Irish Car Bomb_. In a 2 oz. shot glass:
[li]1 part Bailey’s Irish Cream[/li][li]1 part Jamison’s Irish Whiskey[/li]Drop the shot into a half-pint of Guiness and down it. Whoo-eee. I’ve never been able to finish more than 3 in a row. One of the greatest party drinks I’ve ever experienced.

Has anyone else ever had _Potcheen_?? It’s supposedly illegal to sell in Ireland, but they import it here and sell it at BevMo. I think it’s a clear type of whiskey. It burns like hell going down, but some of the best tasting stuff I’ve ever shot. Anyone know more about this, or had it before?

And what’s even better than Jagermeister? Free Jagermeister. Whenever I wear my Rammstein babydoll t-shirt to bars, I invariably get a shot sent to me at some point during the evening. Just a little tip for the ladies.

Although, and this is a sort of hijack, I’ve heard from [cue reverb and ominous chord] REAL GERMANS [/ominousness] that Jager isn’t really a ‘hip’ drink in the fatherland. That in fact, shots of jager are reserved for old people who take it to keep them regular.

Any truth to this?
