My mom’s find, but I was the beneficiary: a Brooks Brothers cashmere blazer, in the loveliest dark green, for $2.00, and a vintage Coach shoulder bag for free. (Seriously, the cashier was in the process of tossing it into the dumpster. Ma asked for it. Offered to pay for it, but was told “no.”) The nice thing is that the bag is one of those very simple, high-quality, quiet bags that I can and will use forever - not something trendy with obnoxious logos all over. And the blazer is absolutely to die for, and a perfect fit. The sleeves are long enough, for heaven’s sake! I never find women’s jackets with the sleeves long enough!
I don’t really buy clothes at goodwill, the best deals I’ve ever gotten were on electronics. A PS2 controller for $2, plus lots of $0.99 VHS tapes back when people used VHS.
