Inspired by all of the other HS and Uni threads around here, I figure this is the next logical progression. What are the mascots of your High School and University/College? L’Anse Creuse High School - North **Crusaders** Western Michigan University **Broncos** Before being the Broncos, WMU was known as the Hilltoppers. If you ever think of Michigan as a flat state, come to Kalamazoo and find out why that name fits. ---

By the way, in case you’re curious about what a school can do with merchandising when its mascot is, well, a slug, I have [this sweatshirt](http://slugstore.ucsc.edu/ePOS?store=721&item_number=a202&form=shared3%2fcatalogs%2fcommon%2flarge_image_popup%2ehtml&design=721) and get comments on it almost every time I wear it. Mostly “what the heck is that on your sweatshirt?” kind of thing. ---

My high school did not have a mascot. I don’t think it’s a very common practice among Australian schools. I’m pretty sure my university didn’t have one either. ---

High school: Eagles…most overused team name ever. College: Waves. Well, that’s the name anyway. I haven’t actually seen a real mascot yet, but the emblem has a Poseidon-like character on it. ---

The Twin Rivers Royals. Mascot: A knight. Unfortunately, the closest thing we got to a knight costume was some kind of silver cloth with a red plume on the head. A friend of mine remarked “He looks like a chromed-down chicken!” ---

High school - The Spartans. Kind of amusing when I tell people here, since the word “Spartan” is used in Japan to mean “a stern, humorless upbringing, usually involving lots of violence.” They probably think I went to some kind of prison reformatory. College - The Crimson. That’s it, just a color. Kinda dull. ---
