Another vote for the doggie. The car was the second choice. My family’s Monopoly set lost the battleship and the cannon at some point in the distant past before I was old enough to play. I might have chosen the battleship over the dog had it been available. ---

Always the top hat. It’s so smootth and shiny, and it feels like the most “official” gampiece, possibly because Uncle Moneybags wears one. ---

I usually played the old Bic Pen Cap, or the Paperclip, or the Canadian Penny. This is the kind of Monopoly set you end up with when you have younger siblings who decide that Barbie needs to Iron and also needs a little Dog, and then lose them both in the couch cushions or under the fridge. We managed to never lose any of the property cards though, but I felt sorry for the Small Button who landed on Marvin Gardens and had to stay overnight in a Little Scrap of Paper With “HOTEL” Written On It. ---

The bundle of cash. Grabbed it out of a copy of the excruciating _Lifestyles Of The Rich & Famous_ board game. It’s the perfect size for a Monopoly peice, and fits my goals juuust right. ---

Wow. Our game came with plastic houses and hotels, but with _wooden_ tokens! They weren’t shaped like any objects - they were similar to some chess pieces. It was _years_ before I realized that all my friends’ games had tokens shaped like cool miniature things (I only ever played Monopoly with my family). I then thought we must have lost the original tokens and had replaced them with homemade wooden things, but my Mom insisted they came with wooden tokens. All that being said, my favourite was always the small purple one. ---
