Having just viewed it, I have to say Pinocchio is least. A very scattershot story. But I later looked it up on the wiki and discovered the original 1883 book was even more random, and much meaner and bloodier as well, with exploding snakes, Pinocchio biting off a cat’s paw, pummeling the cricket, etc.

Favorite is Peter Pan. Flying always seemed the ultimate adventure.

Animated only?
\*
Aristocats\* barely edges out _The Fox and the Hound_ as the worst dreck the Disney company ever released.

_Beauty and the Beast_ is my favorite, but I have an sizable collection of Disney features and they get watched regularly.

I think I like Aladdin the best. I enjoyed the story, the songs were fun, liked the setting, and I saw it in that magical time of my life when I was old enough to understand it but young enough not be to jaded. I also enjoyed the hell out of Hunchback of Notre Dame, but apparently I’m in the minority on that.

I also didn’t like Pinnochio much, but I like Peter Pan even less (sorry). I found him to be a jackass and annoying. He basically kidnaps children and inflicts Stockholm Syndrome on Wendy. Not to mention he had another girl on the side (Tiger Lily). And lets not mention his total ignorance of Tinkerbell and using her powers like a slavemaster

Jungle Book is by far the best Disney movie ever made. No contest. Anyone who says otherwise is WRONG.

Worst movie? There are tons of them.

Do Pixar movies count? **Toy Story 2** , **Finding Nemo** (produced in partnership with Disney) and **Wall-E** (produced after Pixar was acquired by Disney) are all pretty amazing.

Because I grew up when Disney’s classic films were only available every seven years or so, I missed seeing most of them at the age I would have been most impressed by them. Seeing them as an adult I can appreciate what achievement they were for their time but for the most part they really can’t compare to the best modern animated features, not just technically but in terms of characterization and storytelling.

_Beauty and the Beast_ is my favorite. The ballroom sequence still gives me chills. Gorgeous animation.

_Aladdin_ and _The Lion King_ are close seconds.
_Hunchback of Notre Dame_ is probably my least favorite.

Fox and the Hound is my favorite.

Least favorite… there’s quite a few recent ones that I didn’t both to see… but I’ll go with Pocahontas.

Favourite is a tie between Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid.

Least favourite would be Snow White.

What, no love for _Song of the South_?!?!

My favorites: a tie between _Jungle Book_–overall, and certainly the best music of any title by far–and _Pinocchio_, hands down the best artistically.

Least favorite? Oh, too many to mention. _Snow White_ is certainly the most overrated. _Beauty and the Beast_ is the most transparently manufactured to craven marketing ends. _The Little Mermaid_ is the most atrocious bastardization of the original source material–oh wait, then there’s _The Hunchback of Notre Dame_. \*Pocahontas \*is the most mind-bogglingly just \*wrong \*Disney dreck since, well, _Song of the South_ . . . yeah, too many to mention. Blecch.

The Emperor’s New Groove. Because it’s actually funny. Really funny, actually. And not overly sweet.

For the worst, geez. Gus? Superdad? Herbie the Love Bug? Pick any 1970’s live action film from Disney, it’ll probably be bad.

Today, I still like _Lion King_.

Favorite is probably **Mulan**. Second would be **The Little Mermaid**. Of the earlier films, I’d pick **Dumbo.**

Worst is **The Fox and the Hound**. **Lion King** is no great shakes, either. **Sleeping Beauty** and **Dinosaur** are pretty dismal, too.

Most Favorite: **The Jungle Book** – Great animation, great songs, great voice acting.

Runner-Up: **Pinocchio** – Maybe the most beautifully drawn of any of the features. They hadn’t learned how to cut corners yet.
Least Favorite: **Home on the Range** – It’s an utter stinking pile of crap. I can’t think of a single good thing to say about it.

Some of us would love to see it (again).

Favorite: Well, the two I’ve (voluntarily) rewatched most often would be _Mulan_ and _Hercules_.

Least: probably _Snow White_ – definitely pretty, but kind of a yawn fest.

Least: Tough one. The post-Walt/pre-Mermaid period was mostly pretty awful. I’ll go with Black Cauldron

My favourite is Mulan. I also like the Pixar movies and Aladdin, but Mulan’s the only one I’ve actually bought. I haven’t actually watched that many Disney movies, so I don’t know how Hercules and the like compare.

Is there a list somewhere? There are soooo many good ones.

Snow White, Peter Pan, Robin Hood, Aladdin, Alice, Jungle Book, Song of the South are all excellent, excellent movies.

If Pixar counts, then the worst is every Pixar movie. None of those are worth a rat’s fart in a wind-tunnel as far as I’m concerned.

Oh I strongly disagree. I just recently watched Snow White for the first time [since I was a small child.] It was absolutely wonderful. But then I love minimalist storytelling (I chuckled but also _loved_ the way they literally just skipped the denouement, for instance) and muted color palettes. And yeah, I liked the songs. So what.
