Woo-hoo, first Jessica on the thread! Jessie to most people outside the office, and Jester to my dad. It’s a pretty boring name, actually, and I will answer to Jennifer (because it’s usually not worth it to correct someone). I will also answer to Michele at family gatherings, as I am apparently interchangeable with my mother. I know there’s a poster somewhere out there named **jesleigh** , who I’m guessing I share both a first and middle name with. Unless your “Leigh” part is just for fun. 🙂 ---

Julia. I was always known as Julie until I got this job. There was another Julie here before me, so I go by Julia everywhere now. As a kid, I always thought it sounded like someone’s old aunt, but the older I get the more I like it. It _does_ sound more professional! Sarah to most the world, but my best friend uses Fish on occasion. My relatives used and still ocassionally do, call me Janie. I NEVER use my middle name, and certainly not instead of my first name. ---

Meena, short for Meenakshi. Although legally it’s spelled Minakshi. I \*challenge \* you to find someone else on this board with that name. Of course, in India it’s quite popular. I have a first cousin named Meenakshi. Meenakshi is the name of the river goddess. There’s a huge giant temple to her at the southern tip of India which I must must see. ---
