I also get the following variations: Sarai (Sar-eye), Sarita (Sa-ree-ta), and Sara-bara-bo-bara. To the Samantha that posted in this thread - I would have killed to have that name growing up. I would have told everyone to call me Sam. How cool is that? ---

My kids both go by their middle names. I had to put the “best” names in the middle because they just flowed better that way. ---

Melody I will answer to just about anything including: deca(long story), Mel(which I hate), and Lody(cause a friend needed to give me a nickname and she knows that I hate Mel). I have always been grateful that I wasn’t a boy because at the time I was conceived, my parents were big ZZ Top fans and my name was going to be Zachary Zebediah. Combined with my last name which is also a Z-name I would not like my parents today. Bless their drug-induced little minds…they just wanted a son they could call Little ZZ. :smack: ---

Which is actually pretty funny, since I called her “Emma Dilemma” long before the baby was born. But the surest way for me to crack them up (and I don’t even do it on purpose) is to say… “Emma, I mean Delaney, I mean Zachary, I mean - CHILD SITTING IN THE MIDDLE!” Guaranteed giggles every time. Apparently it’s amusing to have a scatterbrain for a mom 😃 With my sisters (Samantha and Melanie) it came out Smellanie. That might have been slightly on purpose though. ---
