There are some who call me . . . Tim. :dubious:
OK, maybe not. It’s Jennifer. Everyone who knows me calls me Jen, except my little brother who still calls me Jenny. Talk about a common name!

Ken mostly.
Kenny to women who like me but don’t want to date me or those who watch too much South Park.
Gillian.
Gill, Gigi, and Jellybean are all acceptable. Call me Gilligan and prepare for a slow and painful death.
Woo-hoo, first Jessica on the thread! Jessie to most people outside the office, and Jester to my dad. It’s a pretty boring name, actually, and I will answer to Jennifer (because it’s usually not worth it to correct someone). I will also answer to Michele at family gatherings, as I am apparently interchangeable with my mother.
I know there’s a poster somewhere out there named jesleigh, who I’m guessing I share both a first and middle name with. Unless your “Leigh” part is just for fun.
I like the name Jessica.
My first name is Mary. But I go by
Kathy
<singing>
Her name was Magill, and she called herself Lil, but everyone knew her as Nancy.

My father’s name was Edwin. I’ve never met another one. He acquired alot of land. Too bad it doesn’t mean “One who keeps land and doesn’t loose it to his ex wife’s evil greedy son.”
I’m the first Krista in this thread? Woo-hoo!
I’ll answer to Kiki or KJ, mostly coming from my family. But one of my friends insists on calling me by my middle name, Jane.
Frank.
Snakespirit, I never thought of that before but it makes sense.
Win=gain, as in “I win this land!”
Ward=guard, as in “I am Warden of this land.”
Now if I can just figure out the Ed=land connection. Any relation to the Eddas?
Julia.
I was always known as Julie until I got this job. There was another Julie here before me, so I go by Julia everywhere now. As a kid, I always thought it sounded like someone’s old aunt, but the older I get the more I like it. It does sound more professional!
Hi, jsgoddess, Ms. Macphisto, and TellMeI’mNotCrazy!
Jill
Sarah to most the world, but my best friend uses Fish on occasion.
My relatives used and still ocassionally do, call me Janie. I NEVER use my middle name, and certainly not instead of my first name.
Meena, short for Meenakshi. Although legally it’s spelled Minakshi.
I *challenge * you to find someone else on this board with that name. Of course, in India it’s quite popular. I have a first cousin named Meenakshi.
Meenakshi is the name of the river goddess. There’s a huge giant temple to her at the southern tip of India which I must must see.
Niki to most (including Ardred)
Nic or Nik (pronunced the same) to my mom and most friends.
Nicole to the government and my dad, for some reason.
Never ever, ever Nikki.
I can’t believe I’m the first Christopher to post. It’s my middle name, but that’s what I go by.
FTR, Logan is a great girls name, as is Rebecca.
Me too. Chuck to most people, Charlie to my family.
Meant that I could go from getting tired of people always saying, “Sorry, Charlie!” and singing the jingle for that perfume, to getting tired of people always asking, “What’s up, Chuck?” and calling me “Chuckles.”
Caitlin. Caitie or Cait to those near and dear.
When I was born, Caitlin was a very rare name, that’s why my parents chose it. Little did they know that ten years later the baby Caitlin invasion would begin.
I am Walley. NOT short for Walter, Wallace, M7, OR the fish.
I do not have a brother we call Beaver or any friends named Gilbert, Whitey, or Larry Mundello.
Thank You!
Jason.
Yes, I know, you’re all horribly disappointed that it’s not really “Max”. Well, fear not, I’ve grown so accustomed to my online alias that I will answer to “Max” in real life. Some people who first met me as “Max” still call me that.
