I LOVE her! She’s definitely my favorite Letterman guest and he seems to be quite smitten with her. I’m not totally obsessed, but I would love to hang out with her. She absolutely cracks me up and I can’t even explain exactly why. She seems to be the kind of person you either absolutely love or probably loathe. What do you guys think? ---

I dunno. In “Strangers With Candy” she wore this weird, goofy expression throughout the movie that completely threw off the movie’s humor, because it was just too much. If she’d just dialled it back about three notches, it would have been a much better movie, because the humor was there. As it was she was kinda … Jim Carrey over-the-top. ---

I like her 'cause she’s weird, but not self-consciously so. She writes (wrote?) a humorous advice column called “Sedaratives” for _The Believer_, but tends to have an awful lot of guest columnists. Does anyone know if it’s still running? ---

I didn’t like the SWC TV show at all. But she’s a great guest. She reminds me of Madeline Kahn. ---

It’s sort of making fun of 70s cookbooks, but it also has advice on how to organize parties and what not to say to grieving widows. Really, really, REALLY funny and a great present for someone with a bit of a twisted sense of humor. ---

She’s one of my favorite people ever, and _Strangers With Candy_ is one of my top TV series. I keep _I Like You_ next to my bed just to flip through and have a laugh before I go to sleep. ---

SWC the show was phenomenal. The movie wasn’t as good, but it was similar. I can’t imagine anyone who had seen the show being surprised at anything in the film, just disappointed. Joe ---

Amy sedaris is a scream. I love her. I’ve seen her on Letterman a couple times, and on Colbert, and I love her fearlessness. For my husband and me, SWC:ts was definitely an acquired taste. It was too weird and gross when it first ran. But like that dish you keep sampling to see if it’s really odd-tasting as it first seemed, we caught it in reruns until we eventually became hooked and bought the DVDs. We saw the movie when it ran in theaters, and weren’t disappointed. Have you ever seen the movie SWC and her Jerri Blank character were based on?
