I LOVE heavy blankets… but i do it by layering quilted and cotton blankets…sometimes up to 5 or 6.
I can add or remove as the season,or needs change.
So…yes, I like a weighted top cover in bed, but I create it myself.

I’ve had one for years. It’s called “cat lying on me in bed”.
I bought mine from Amazon. I love it.
The 20lbs got lost in the mail, got a 15lbs one and I wasn’t able to sleep fully in it the first night. Maybe the impression of light suffocation will go away after a week. I guess I can use it on the lower part of my body.
I got one for Christmas. I’d never heard that there were supposed to be health benefits to it; I just like the feel of a heavy blanket on me. My main complaint is that it’s too insulative: It’s fine in the winter, but it’ll be too warm come spring, and so I won’t get to enjoy the heavy blanket then.
I’ve had alright summer nights with the AC on while I slept and covered up like it’s winter. I don’t think it’s very energy-efficient though.
Just the thought of using one gives me anxiety issues. I like a light a blanket as I can get away with for the time of year. In summertime, that’s basically a threadbare sheet & just an old-fashioned acrylic blanket with satiny trim at top & bottom in the winter. I won’t even sleep under a comforter as that’s too heavy/hot.
I only found out about them last year. Maybe they are getting more popular now.
I got one for Christmas and I love it! I’m about 150 lbs give or take and the 15 lb is just right. I turn it sideways because it felt like it was going to slide off me.
I’ve had problems with restless legs at night and the blanket really seems to help. Turning the blanket sideways makes it mostly cover my back and legs. I didn’t like it on my feet.
I am “of a certain age” and have been having night sweats so sometimes it gets a little too warm but most of the time I’m fine with the sheet, weighted blanket, and another light blanket.
