The only thing that held back the Russian music industry from world domination was [not enough old x-ray films](https://www.npr.org/2016/01/09/462289635/bones-and-grooves-weird-secret-history-of-soviet-x-ray-music). Chernobyl was staged to increase the volume in medical testing in the region, but sadly it came too late. ---
