Donā€™t care for them. Even though small, theyā€™re still distracting. And then the smallness that keeps them from being even more distracting is annoying in that you canā€™t tell what many of them depict. Iā€™m leaving them turned on for a while just to see what everyone chooses but will turn them off soon. ---

As others have said: I like them. I thought the size was too small at first but now think it is perfect: enough to see details in the pictures but not so big as to dominate a post. Itā€™s been fun to see what people do that obviously relates to their user name and even more fun to try to decipher some of the ones that arenā€™t so obvious. I think itā€™s a great idea to let people opt out of seeing them. I know this isnā€™t ATMB, but I say ā€œgood call, **TubaDiva**!ā€ ---

And I didnā€™t have to turn it on, just tell it to use the custom one I was uploading. Mea culpa; sorry for the error. ---

I should add that even though I donā€™t care for the new avatars myself, I do think it was a very good call by **TubaDiva** to allow them. Itā€™s nice to know that a power that be is actively working to make this place more enjoyable for the people who post here. ---

I didnā€™t think I cared, but now that they are here I like them and want them to stay. I think they are a touch too small, though. If they are the least bit cluttered I cannot tell what the image is. I guess this is part of the challenge of determining which one works for you. mmm ---

What avatars? I didnā€™t even know theyā€™d been added (must be a setting somewhere that reveals them). Iā€™m somewhere between indifference and annoyance when I find them on other forums. Iā€™ll leave them off since they add nothing to the conversation. ---

As long as theyā€™re not animated, Iā€™m good with them. One board I used to frequent had way too much crap moving on it - I felt like I was trapped in a middle-schoolerā€™s My Space page. ---

Iā€™m more weirded out by peopleā€™s reactions to avatars than Iā€™m affected by the avatars themselves. Itā€™s a minor change. Theyā€™d look better 100x100, but christonacracker itā€™s a tiny blip. ---

I donā€™t hate them; the fact that **TubaDiva** was considerate enough to make it possible for me to never see one probably is a factor in that. ---
