What's your putzing-around store?

Midwest Gun Exchange in Mishawaka, IN. Big, big store with lots to look at.

I prefer the flagship. That’s the big one in the Charing Cross Road (not keen on the new site, but there you go.)

LOL! Sorry to disappoint you, but I’ve never even tried electric guitars there. I go there for the acoustic guitars, keyboards, and percussion. The keyboard room is my favorite of all to while away the day in.

Guitar Center has these soundproofed rooms: electric guitars, acoustic guitars, keyboards, and drum kits, where you can jam to your heart’s content. It’s a literal playground for musicians.

Now that you’ve sparked the idea, WordMan, I think I would like to shred some “All Along the Watchtower” or “Obviously 5 Believers” on the electric guitars next time I’m there! Great idea!

Browsing a Sharper Image store? Good luck with that. Maybe afterwards you can have lunch at a Steak & Ale.

Great! As long as you do so on a guitar shaped like an iron cross fucking a dragon   and get a shot of yourself throwing metal horns \m/.

Oooooh dragon guitars! (I haven’t found one yet that was fucking an iron cross tho… I suppose I’ll just have to keep looking… :p)

Jeez, Freud would have a field day.

Those look… uncomfortable.

^ This is also me. :frowning:

Music /Pawn shops - I’m always looking for different gear for the rig or the music room.

Thrift shops - you never know what you may find.

We have a small chain here in Canada called Princess Auto, we joke that it is THE Toy Store for men! I can kill an hour or two there easy.

Lee Valley, Long and Mcquade, Princess Auto, KMS Tools, Chapters/Indigo, and local pawn shops because you just never know what you’ll find.

I tried browsing pawn shops. It was incredibly disappointing. Ridiculous prices on crappy stuff.

Agreed.

But they can be great for collectibles, rarities, etc… and usually cheaper than brand new.
