# What's your Ringtone?

I had a hell of a time getting my favorite song to use. I have no idea how to get a rring ton for different people. Nobody calls me anyway…

Default ringtone is from an instrumental version of Metallica’s “One”: the guitar riff starting right before the “Darkness, imprisoning me…” section.

Ringtone when my wife calls is “Woman” by Wolfmother, again instrumental version.

Notification sounds are various lines from KPop singer C.L. “Yeah” is the default, “Boom” for email, and “Oh my god!” for texts.

My alarm sound is “Ashokan Farewell”, a.k.a. the Ken Burns Civil War theme.

A custom Portal Turret tone I made from sound clips; “Hello, is anyone there? there you are, could you come over here? hello? are you still there?”

Same here. They can call me a troglodyte, as well they may, but I like a phone to sound like, well, a phone. Plus, in this day and age, it’s distinctive enough compared to all the musical or kitschy ones. I hear a “ringing”, I know it’s mine.

That “angry” ringtone some use is pretty funny though, I gotta’ admit.
