One of my favorite David Wilcox tunes (surely you’ve heard of him?) is Kitchen Blue, a song about spilled paint and acceptance. One day when I was particularly depressed about life, the universe and everything, and was faced with a trashed house and family cats and guest cats zooming everywhere, I mistyped the name of the song as Kitten Blue. It just seemed to fit my playful, vulnerable, semi-depressed state of mind.
