Sloppy scandinavian/western european; clean white/wood design ruined by lots of crates of stuff everywhere. As for clothes, depends. Linnen cap always. Black jeans and shirt or corduroy pants and a hoody depending on mood/expectations of formality. ---

My style is to keep people guessing. I hate it when people make judgments about someone by looking at them, so I try to be as nondescript as possible. I have found that this just annoys most people. ---

Rockport (singular) doesn’t, and should be made into a proper plural when referring to more than one. And Lands’ End was a printer’s error that they ran with because they couldn’t afford to fix the misprinted materials. ---

My home: Ikea. And toddler. I did ask a professional to give me advice on the colors of the walls and the lay-out. So those are nice. And I have a few nice works of art, mainly ethnic stuff. Like my laquered and painted Chinese commode with jade artwork on it. Or my carved wooden mirror frames. And my statue of the wood-elf, made from a tree stump with a carved face and with the roots branching out like hair. I love that one. Myself: it used to be: whatever makes me look slimmer and elegant and allows me to bike to my office. Skirts, mailnly. Now that I’ve dropped 55 pounds, I need to re-invent my style. I think it will me elegant and outdoorsy yummie mommy with a touch of hippie. ---

_Vomi de l’enfant couture_. Seriously, consideration number one is whether this item is washable enough (or cheap enough to replace) if my kids barf on it, poop on it, color on it, leave a sippy cup of milk seeping into it, or use it as a napkin after eating pepperoni pizza. After that, in clothes I attempt to wear something that looks vaguely like I made an effort, and is at least not totally unflattering to my large figure. As far as furniture, there is a slight beach theme in my living room, but mostly it’s utilitarian. The older I get, the more spareness appeals to me. I’m paring down the stuff that’s around me, and when the kids are older and we start replacing things, I can see doing a Zen-inspired interior. ---
