I’m sure this has been asked, but I can’t find a link to it, so here goes. What’s the wallpaper on your computer right now? I just changed mine yesterday. It was a close up black-and-white picture of Drew Barrymore. Now it’s the girl who plays Buffy (Sarah something) astride a motorcycle. ---

I took a kickass picture of the USMC Iwo Jima Memorial down in Washington DC a few weeks back. It’s pretty cool, and that’s what I got. Tripler Coincidentally, I just got a wedding invitation with “United States Marines” on it. Wierd. . . ---

Superdude- It’s Sarah Michelle Gellar. Reason I know this? I have an Anthony Stewart Head (Giles) theme on one 'puter at work and the one at home (other work puter has just a pic of Giles sitting in a chair surrounded by books). Comes with sounds, screensaver, and wallpaper (which is a collage of Giles/ASH pics). Yummmmmmmy. 😃 But the critical stop comment- “That would be most helpful”- is starting to annoy the beejesus out of Mr. Kitty. 🙂 -BK ---

I just got rid of the “Lord of the Rings” teaser poster (Frodo and the ring) in favor of yet another Neil Finn photo. (Neil Finn was the singer/songwriter for Crowded House.) He’s standing on stage with his guitar, neato lights everywhere. He’s ever so dreamy. ---

I just had the standard wallpaper from the Mystery theme for a long time. A couple of weeks ago someone linked to a picture for the new Enterprise, so now that’s my wallpaper. ---

Yes we did this but it was way back when the [img] tag was still legal. The thread eventually got so image-heavy that the thread took upwards of twelve days\* to fully load. Anywho, [here](http://umbra.nascom.nasa.gov/images/eit_19970914_0121_304.gif) is my wallpaper. resized to 1280×1024, it looks very impressive on a 27" monitor. [sub]\*slight exaggeration[/sub] ---

A friend of mine was going through a rough time, so I sent him a care package containing, among other things, a cloth NASA astronaut helmet, complete with the logo and a little microphone that goes in front of the wearer’s mouth. I got it at Imaginarium, the toy store. The rest of the package commemorated MIR, since this was shortly after that most leaky and trouble-prone space station was brought down. Anyway, my friend took a picture of himself wearing the helmet, blew the photo up and threw in some effects, and placed it all over a background of a nebula & some stars. The words “Space Club” are sort of flying out of all this in stylized 70s font. It kicks so much ass. Thus was my wallpaper born. ---

When I was on holidays in the Okanagan a few months ago, I took a picture with my digital camera of a apple orchard in bloom. When I downloaded it to the PC when I got home I was amazed. It was a gorgeous picture. Picture a shaded path with blooming apple trees on every side of the path/small road. At the “front” of the image is a small table and chairs. The path leads right to lake Okanagan in the background. I will try to upload a jpg to photopoint for all to see. Its real purty 🙂 ---

At work: a picture i took of the Taj Mahal last March, I was amazed it’s a postcard quality photo. At home: a picture of a Hokkien temple i took while in Singapore last march. Very cool angled shot of the front of the temple with carvings and gold decorations through a slight haze of morning. ---

Usually I just go to [http://www.explodingdog.com](http://www.explodingdog.com) and pick something that catches my eye, but right now my desktop wallpaper simply says _Please do not tap on glass_. People tap my monitor everytime they see that. Punks. ---

My wallpaper changes so frequently that I have a hard time keeping track. Right now its the post from _Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back_. Previously it has been everything from a [pVp](http://www.pvponline.com) strip to crazy images from [Consuption Juction](http://www.consumptionjunction.com). ---

I have a photo of a baby saltwater crocodile floating in clear water, off one of the best crocodilian web sites on the net. [This](http://www.beaterz.com/one_liners/0201/020111_japvan.htm) has been up for quite a while. I’d say it definitely on my wishlist. While I am not _at all_ a fan of Pokemon, I think it would be an absolute trip to drive on a daily basis.
