The buyers of Gucci and other pricey brands should know where stuff is made, it’s always on the label in the US. Maybe in small print, but it’s there.

You are right about that…a few years ago, Versace designed a shirt (men’s) for H&M. It sold out immediately, and can only be bought on eBay.

> Most likely the clothes are all made in the same sweatshops in Asia. You just get ripped off a lot more by paying $500 instead of $20.

I used to think the same way…well about higher priced vs lower priced clothes.

I have since changed my mind.

Higher priced clothes seem to last longer, look better on you, less susceptible to aging and seem to be more comfortable than lower priced clothes. I remember discovering that wearing business formal can actually be comfortable rather than torture.

My wife was reluctant to believe this. When we got married she slowly and with great reluctance has come around to my way of thinking. A typical example is she would have spent $40 every few months for a purse because it would break or look like crap…However I bought her a Coach purse for, I think, $300 and she still uses 8 years later.

Cheap clothes are not as inexpensive as you think, all things considered 🙂
