# When a gadget works too well.

After years of juicing citrus fruits by hand I decided to treat myself to a real juicer as a Christmas present.  
As always the reviews said go with OXO, and I did.

And as always with OXO it works great. It works too damn well. My proportions are all off now. I have years of absentmindedly knowing what size lime or lemon I want to grab to get the flavor I want, but I get so much more yield now. My salsas and marinades for the last two weeks have been really freakin limey, I gotta retrain myself.

Thank you. Amazon Prime is neat, isn’t it? I’m betting it is on my porch tomorrow, since the Fulfillment Center is all of 10 miles away.

I might use one of those if I only had a couple of fruits to ream but when I need a large quantity of juice, I use [one of these](https://www.terapeak.com/worth/vintage-wear-ever-juicer-lemon-lime-squeezer-hand-citrus-press-made-in-usa/361250034249/). Best juicer ever.

I should get one of these. I’m still using my mom’s old aluminum reamer that must have been made in the 1940’s. It’s probably giving me Alzheimer’s disease!
