New icons are up since February. If they changed for you just recently, they were probably still in your browser cache. ---

Have other objects recently begun moving that weren’t before? And if so, have you recently collected and consumed any wild mushrooms? ---

[Original ATMB thread](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=716855), February-March 2014, with 330 posts (7 pages) discussing the abominations that most of the new smilies are. You may have noticed that some substantial number of Dopers refuse to use them, using instead such traditional smilies as :-) or evasive euphemisms like //rolleyes// or //old rolleyes// Verily, the new icons have not been well received. ---

Because I think you’re the only one who’s seeing that. Everyone else is seeing the “new” smiley from February. Might be time for a malware scan on your PC. ---
