[My bold] I don’t know what you mean by this.

The OP was not framed as a neutral factual question. It was loaded with the premise that only empirical evidence about outcomes, specifically abuse outcomes, can justify this parenting strategy. I disputed the premise thus:

> [@Any evidence that teaching kids about healthy boundaries and consent to physical contact reduces abuse?](https://boards.straightdope.com/t/any-evidence-that-teaching-kids-about-healthy-boundaries-and-consent-to-physical-contact-reduces-abuse/977225/12):

> But at a more fundamental level, the question of whether kids should learn about bodily autonomy and consent _at all_ does not derive from empirical data, it derives from ethics. Children should learn about it for the same reason that they should learn that torturing pets is wrong. Bodily autonomy and consent is a fundamental human right that we all _should_ understand.

So disputing the premise here is a question of ethical beliefs, not something for which an objective factual cite is applicable. And you responded by saying it was a good point but off topic - thus _barring_ any further discussion of the dubious premise.
