Susannan, I know of no such association as you state, about a link between Hodgkins Disease and Tonsillectomy. And I’ve reviewed the pertinent literature. Please back it up if you are going to assert it in GQ.

My assertion, backed up by peer-reviewed literature, is that there are frequent circumstances making tonsillectomy desirable, and that there are no credible established long-term risks associated with not having tonsils.

Just a follow-up, my daughter tested positive for strep again a week after my post above. Both my kids saw an ENT last week and we all agreed that the tonsils come out. T-day is Aug 21. The doctor quoted guidelines very similar to what Qadgop wrote above.
