I’m up skiing today, and got my crappy little MP3 thingy going. Jammin’ down some killer soft, slushy moguls, rocking out to **The Jezabels** and some other cool stuff, when up comes **James Mother-Grabbin’ Brown** with a 9-minute version of _“SuperBad”._ Yeah! This works! This fires me up to push a little harder! Jump Back! Kiss Myself! Then the MP3 malfunctions. It plays it again. Then a third time. You know how long it takes for _“SuperBad”_ to go to _“Fuck This Shit!”_? 28 minutes, or Three times. Same as how many licks on a Tootsie Pop. Coincidence? ---

Many years ago, I flew up to New York for the wedding of a former college roommate. Three of us met in NYC then drove up to Rochester for the wedding. We had exactly two tapes in the car - Changes One Bowie and Zeppelin’s Houses of the Holy. Yeah, even those excellent albums got a little old about the third time around. ---

I don’t think there are that many albums that would hold up too well to three consecutive plays. It might make a difference if it’s background music played while doing chores at home, but in an environment where music is front and center it’s likely to get old quickly. ---

Did you accidentally press the \ button? Had a favorite CD playing in the car; I know the song order. “Hey, that’s not next. Weird. Musta hit a bump at exactly the wrong time.” then “Hey, that’s not the song after that one WTH?” Didn’t even know where that button was on the radio that I accidentally hit. ---

Hmmm…up until now I didn’t think James Brown and tootsie pops had anything in common with skiing. Is it even safe to ski while sucking on a tootsie pop? 😃 ---

Mine doesn’t have a dedicated repeat button; it’s in the menu options when you press the down button, which is similar to right-click on a PC mouse in that it brings up a menu of options. …& I did see a woman in NYC this weekend with a bun in her hair w/ a scrunchie wrapped around it. Above the scrunchie were two Charms Blow-pops. Hands free snacks on the go??? ---

On a road trip from Greensboro NC to central FLA in the late 80’s. There were lots of tapes to listen to. But NO, the damn metal heads in the car JUST HAD TO listen to “Operation Mindcrime” the entire fucking way. Over and over for 13 hours. ---

When I lived in Vegas, I won tickets to motor down to the Hollywood Bowl for a **Sting** concert. So what did they do? Played sting all the way down and all the way back. :rolleyes: You could say I was _Stung_. ---

heh that used to happen on Pandora when I picked a group that only has 3 albums and have the " random" thing going … that kept the sound alikes out of the playlists but my guldmates used to go … erm that’s the forth time we’ve heard that song… ---

Back in 2013, I listened to Suicidal Tendencies _13_ whenever I drove my car (35 minutes each way to work and back, errands, road trips, etc.) for over 10 months. I’ve prolly heard that album several thousand times. I could listen to it again right now and I’d still love every song, even on the 7th run through without pause. And that’s not even the album I’ve listened to the most. ---

In the mid 80s there was a time when I had a single cassette tape in my car tape deck. On one side was Pink Floyd’s “The Dark Side of the Moon”, on the other was Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here” I just kept flipping that tape over and over for about a year I think. ---
