# When I plug my Ipod in, it opens Microsof Word(Windows XP)

This is embarrassing. It’s totally my fault…and I’m using a 10 year old operating system where I really ought to know how to resolve this.

Anyway, Itunes always opens when I plug in my Ipod touch. Good, I like that.

However, it has always done that thing where it asks what I want to do with it. I meant to choose “do nothing” and select the “always do this option”. Accidentally, I chose “open Microsoft Word” and picked the “always do this” option.

How do I change it to “do nothing”?

It’s service pack 3 and Home Edition, if it matters.

Plug your iPod in and open up My Computer. Right click on the iPod icon and choose Properties. Go to the AutoPlay tab to change settings.

Thanks, except it thinks it is a camera, so the tab was called “Events” instead of “AutoPlay”. Just updating in case someone else finds this thread.
