**manhattan** , [resigned as a moderator](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=205809), because his job of “_managing billions of dollars of other people’s money_” is taking alot of his time. So he gave up the non-paying position. He is still a member of the sdmb. ---

The original thread was one of the funniest things I had read here for a long time, until they stopped with the one liners, and began with paragraph long babbling. The paragraphs ruined that thread, and then there was over rampant abuse of the phrase outside of that thread. If it hadn’t been over used, it would still be funny. ---
