Why does her death delight you guys? After all, she hasn’t been Prime Minister for quite a while. How much did she actually affect the United Kingdom’s government, economy, or society after she left office? ---

If it had happened earlier, she wouldn’t have had dementia and would have had to witness the cold reality of what she’d done to the UK, and a Labour government wouldn’t have idolised her and gilted her funeral as much as the ConDems are going to. She wholeheartedly supported Pinochet while lambasting Mandela. Even if you ignore what she did within the sphere of British internal politics, she was scum. One of her spawn tried to engineer a coup in Equatorial Guinea in order to enrich himself. Another was an unapologetic racist. Her very existence made the world a lesser place. Good riddance. ---

Hmmphh, the current lot are no better than the last lot, nuke the whole fucking lot of our millionaire ministers from orbit, its the only way to be sure. At least I kept my skills, drive and knowledge up to date so I found a new job with more money, most folk I know are not so lucky in the current economic climate. There must be a few illegal immigrants or home stealing benefit sapping sapping scrounger who we can blame for all our money going to bail out bankers who are still paying themselves bonuses with taxpayers rescue money. Thatcherism will never die the financial zombie she created will eat us forever. ---

According the NPR report I listened to this morning, there are some who argue that her policies directly led to England’s vulnerabilities in the most recent banking and economic crises. Primarily shifting the economy toward one based more on banking/financial markets and the heavy deregulation of industry that she implemented had a direct impact to today. I don’t know nearly enough to agree or disagree, but the argument that her policies directly affected the today’s economy and a such are negatively impacting people right now. ---
