…and I don’t renew it, will I still be able to use the New Posts function under the Quick Links menu?

“New Posts” is based on the search function (if you’ve ever clicked new posts and then immediately tried to run a search you find that out!). Guests can’t search.

Well, as a bonus, this thread has taught me where the ‘new posts’ button went to. Obviously, I’d not cared too much about it before hand, but from time to time, I’d wondered what happened to the little bugger. I used to follow all forums pretty well, seeking out topics hither and yon. Haven’t in quite a while now, but nice to know the function still works. thanks.
