# When should a restaurant's kitchen close?

Well, now that you \*have \*jumped in, I’ll just mention that properly slaughtered beef has nearly no blood at all, and you are seeing myoglobin.

I think they were expecting basic comprehension skills. They’re a bit away from the Clark St. club scene so most people drive there, meaning they shouldn’t be too drunk (I hope).
My drunk story is from when I worked Dominos. A guy staggered in demanding an Italian Beef sandwich, and we only sold pizza back then. After repeating we didn’t sell any sandwiches several times, I said “Fine - it’s $20, though.” He stared at me, swaying for a second, then pulled out a $20, threw it on the counter and walked out. I had a driver pick up an Italian Beef from a place down the street and keep the change, but the guy never came back so free sandwich.

Did you ask the place down the street if a drunk guy ever came in, demanding an Italian Beef sandwich, and claiming he already paid?

How about restaurants where there is no bar, and the seated customers keep ordering drinks after the place has ‘closed’. Myself, I would give last call after they finished their meal. Sorry, owner. I’m not staying til 2 when the restaurant closed at 11. You want booze…go to a bar.
