Heh. One of my servers always trips me up with that date format. I guess it makes sense in some big-endian manner where the units are in reverse order of relative size, but it’s annoying, especially since it’s not consistent. It demands *input * as YYMMDD, but outputs as MMDDYY
Back to the topic - AMEN, AGREED, and YES! I’m also involved in a research project, and when the best date I can find is “April” I’m pretty well screwed. I suppose I could research farther and find that such-and-such OS or application referred to in the article was developed in whatever year and extrapolate from that, but I shouldn’t have to!
