When was the last time you listened to an entire album, pretty much non stop?

I listened to Rosanne Cash The River & the Thread last week. It won 3 Grammys in 2015 in American Roots category.

I have 30 Gig of music on my phone. Nearly all of it is complete albums. Many are greatest hits albums.

I rarely use shuffle mode. I prefer listening in the original track order.

I buy a new album pretty often (digital download, usually) and I’ll listen to it all the way through several times at least usually when I buy it. In the last month or so I’ve bought Metallica’s 72 Seasons and Overkill’s Scorched, listened to both all the way through at least three or four times the day I bought them.
Got the new Joan Jett a few weeks ago, though it’s only an EP but listened to that all the way through more than once, too.
Listened to the new Metal Church all the way through maybe 3 weeks ago, too.

Tumbleweed Express, Elton John, yesterday while preparing dinner.

Mike Oldfield’s Tubular Bells. Now, to be fair it is only two tracks (although I think he’s released a version with it further subdivided).

I mostly listen to mine own playlists on shuffle, and some greatest hits albums that I’ll shuffle, but there’s a few original albums that I listen to straight-through once a year or so:

  • Jagged Little Pill, Alanis Morissette
  • Graceland, Paul Simon
  • first album by Traveling Wilburys
  • Black Album, Metallica
  • any one of several albums by the Beatles; to pick one: Let It Be
  • any one of several albums by Enya; to pick one: Day Without Rain

In the last six hours or so…
The Cars: Door to Door
Boston: Don’t Look Back
Boston: Third Stage
Boston: Boston
(that is the order I listen to Boston)
Savage Garden: Affirmation
Wilson Phillips: Wilson Phillips

I’m going to see Pink in October so I listened to her latest release in order to learn the songs before the concert.

But I love this woman and would have done it anyway. It’s very probable that the time before this was also the latest release from Pink.

Yeah, me too. Back in the spring I did something I’ve been meaning to do for a while - listen to everything that The Happy Mondays and Black Grape did (missed them at the time - work, life, that sort of stuff.). Took a long time to put down It’s Great When You’re Straight…Yeah. So that was the most recent, maybe a month or so ago. (I also did The Stone Roses first album, missed for similar reasons. Hmm - that one should have stayed missed.)
