I haven’t written to Cecil in about two years. I haven’t had reason to. Any question I have (except for anything involving May 33 in leap years) can be answered by this board in a matter of days, while Cecil’s columns take ages to appear and are usually reserved for AOL users. (It makes sense to irradicate ignorance at the source.) I don’t remember what I asked, except that it was about twenty or so fairly inane questions. So, when was the last time you wrote to Cecil? And what was the question that needed referral to him above the Teeming 10,000 that post here? ---

I haven’t yet. But I have been considering sending in a question on the origin of the snipe hunt, which the GQ people were unable to answer. ---
